SOME OF THE GENEALOGY information IN THIS BOOK is no longer correct. A general revision of the book is underway.

Compiled, written and edited by: Ardis Dreisbach Grosjean, Bruce Jack Dreisbach. Rev. Charles V. Dreisbach

Pub. 1998, privately, by Smith-Bates Printing and Design, Klamath Falls, Oregon. This book is out of print. However it may be possible to obtain a photocopied version of the book, at the cost of printing and mailing. For more information contact: Tristan Dreisbach at: tristandreisbach@gmail.com

This book contains the known genealogies of the Dreisbach family as of 1997 when the data was collected. One partial update was issued in 2001 under the title: The Dreisbach Book Reunion 2001 Supplement. It is available for free download on this site at:

2001 Dreisbach Book Supplement (Has been retired)
Index begins on page 566

some of the genealogy in the supplement (as in the Dreisbach book) is no longer correct. An up to date version of the genealogy Database can be found at Tribal Pages

The INDEX for the supplement begins on page 566. The supplement lists the known descendants of 1743 immigrant, Simon Dreisbach Sr and the descendants of 1751 immigrant, Martin Dreisbach/Dresbach Sr as of the date of its creation. Also listed are descendants of 1754 immigrant, Henry Dreisbach, who settled in Bucks Co. However significant changes have since been made. Please see Tribal Pages.

Other immigrants and their descendants are also listed - these are people who probably are related in some way to either Simon Dreisbach or Martin Dreisbach, but the relationship has not been proven.

There are mistakes and omissions in both the book and the supplement - which was compiled in the pre-computer era. One Correction is needed on p. 70. Jost Dreisbach did NOT marry Elizabeth Rachenberger - the best evidence indicates he married Elizabeth Dieter, daughter of his neighbor, John Dieter.

The D-DFA is currently in the process of making a revised and corrected edition of this valuable book available to Family Association Members. You will be notified when it is ready.
