St Paul’s Indianland Church, Cherryville,
Northampton County, PA
St. Paul's Cemetery was also known as the Indian Land Yard or Indianland Cemetery. It is located in Lehigh Township, Northampton County-- just off of Rt 248, west of Cherryville. The property dates from the middle of the 18th century, and as is generally the case in older cemeteries, a number of the oldest stones have lost their inscriptions, records are from 1756 to Aug. 20, 1888 inclusive. St. Paul’s was a union church with both Reformed and Lutheran congregations, but was generally thought of as a Lutheran Church, while Zion Stone Church was predominantly Reformed. The two are only a few miles apart and served the same community. Most Dreisbachs belonged to the Reformed Congregation and there are only a few known Dreisbachs in this cemetery, all descendants of Simon Dreisbach Sr. :
DREISBACH, Solomon, b. May 27, 1822, d. Aug. 14, 1880,
DREISBACH, Mary, b. Nov. 29, 1828, d. March 3, 1885. Wife of Solomon Dreisbach.
