2016 Dreisbach-Dresbach Family Reunion - Chillicothe, OH

The 2016 DFA reunion was on June 24, 25 and 26 and it was wonderful!

Reunion Schedule June 24, 25 and 26, 2016

FRIDAY: 9:00am Car pool to Adena Mansion, home of Ohio's 6th Governor,Thomas Worthington. Tour the museum, house and gardens. Enjoy lunch at the picnic pavilion catered by Old Canal Smokehouse, purveyor of the best BBQ in Ohio!

      1:30pm Car pool to Ross County Historical Society for tour of the Heritage Center and Museum. Afterwards, stroll down Paint St. to view historic homes.

FRIDAY EVENING: 

6:00 Dinner With Genealogists. Meet your Dresbach/Dreisbach genealogists and discuss genealogy brick walls, successes and how-to techniques. Registration Required.

SATURDAY: The BIG day!  Riverview Conference Center at our hotel.

11:00 "The Underground Railroad in Ross and Pickaway Counties" - Beverly Gray, Director David Nickens Heritage Center, Chillicothe, former coordinator southern region of Ohio Underground Railroad Assoc.

12:00 - 2:00 Lunch on your own

2:00 - "Daniel Dresbach and the Founding of Circleville" - Darlene Weaver, Director Pickaway Co. Historical and Genealogical Library.

Daniel Dreisbach (28 May 1778-28 Sep 1850), son of Henry Dreisbach & Margaret Rimmel (and grandson of Martin Dreisbach & Anna Eva Hoffman) was early Pickaway County Recorder.

3:15 - 4:30 DFA business meeting, election of officers, planning 2019 reunion, sharing stories and memorabilia. Browse silent auction tables.

6:00 - 8:00 Buffet dinner, entertainment, Silent Auction winners announced at 8:00pm (Dinner photos below)

SUNDAY: Car pool to Dresbach Church on Tarlton Road near Circleville for 10:45am for a special Sunday Service. Lunch afterwards at the church. Driving tour to Dresbach grave sites in Pickaway and Ross Counties.
